ROBERT THOMAS FREMEAU
Robert Thomas Fremeau Sr. 82, of Annapolis, Maryland, passed away on September 14, 2014. He was born in Lowell, Massachusetts in 1932. While visiting relatives in Florida in 2011, he became ill, making him unable return to his home in Maryland. He has resided in assisted living in Tavares, Florida since then. He was a retired lithographer for the Government Printing Office, and a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE), Chapter 251, in Annapolis, Maryland. While living in Florida, he was affiliated with St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church of Eustis. Robert was a US Army Veteran (Sergeant), having served during the Korean War period as a Fire Chief in Berlin, Germany. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, P.G. Council #2809 of College Park, Maryland and #1384 of Annapolis, Maryland. He was a member of the University of Maryland Terrapin Club, which honored him as a Heritage Society Member acknowledging his 35 year membership. He was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV). He was predeceased by his wife Margaret in 2003; they were married for 48 years. He is survived by his children, Robert Thomas Fremeau, Jr. of Cambridge, Massachusetts, Greg Fremeau of Leesburg, Florida and Mary (Andy) Kranking of Burtonsville, Maryland; his brother Jerome Michael Fremeau of Leesburg, Florida, sister Jean Rosser of Eustis, Florida, and grandchildren: Paul Graham Fremeau, Lucie Ann Fremeau, Kathryn Elizabeth Kranking, Cara Marie Kranking, Emily Lynne Kranking, Stephen Nicholas Kranking and Timothy Andrew Kranking. Relatives and friends may call at Church of the Resurrection, 3315 Greencastle Road, Burtonsville,MD, on Friday, September 26, from 10 to 11 a.m, where the Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. Interment Maryland Veteran’s Cemetery – Crownsville.
